| Gasp!!!! Something new to post on my xanga site!!!! Yes, well I've been busy. The wedding clock is ticking away quite quickly. Only about 3 more months till the BIG day. Yikes! So much to do and so little time. The good news is that I think I have all of the real important decisions made with contracts to prove it. The rest will just be details...the problem there is that there are just so many little details, such as what we are eating at the reception, how are we decorating the park, how are we decorating the reception hall, how are we seating people, what readings we want at the wedding, what are we going to use for the "toss", what kind of flowers am I going to use for the bouquets, what music do I want played at the reception, what pieces do I want played at the ceremony, what kind of shoes am I going to wear, how am I going to do my hair, when is all this insanity going to end, etc. etc. etc. My mom and I were talking the other day and she was saying you are getting so good at this wedding planning thing you should do that as a second job. And I said, " Yeah, it's not so bad once you've done the leg work and make contacts. Maybe I should......WAIT! What am I thinking! HELL NO, I'M NOT DOING THIS AGAIN!!!!" And just to make sure that inkling of a thought doesn't go through my head again, I threw out all my contact info this week. Good bye all you caterers, cake bakers, djs, reception halls, chair rental people, photographers, videographers, hair salons, manicurists, stationary people, and favor sellers! In other news....I'm on the injured list. After spending 5 minutes with me most people realize that I'm not the most graceful person in the world. Whether it's stumbling over my own feet, tripping over cords, or running my face smack into an open cabinet door, I'm quite good at minorly injuring myself. My constant array of purple body art will attests to that fact. Yesterday I went for a walk in a park with my mom, aunt, and her two dogs after we had a light snow. Little did we realize lurking beneath the pristine white was hell frozen over. As you have probably guessed...the combination of my ungracefulness plus ice was not pretty. I think I fell down at least 4 times. The final fall put me on the inured list. I'm still not exactly sure what happened. I like to think it was one of those banana peel style falls....walking along and then WHOOP....feet fly out from underneath you, moment of pure air time with arms flailing and then WHAM down on the ground so hard your teeth jar. I'm sure it was a glorious sight. In addition to my teeth, I jarred my shoulder too. I think when I fell I landed on my right arm and it jammed up into my shoulder. I'm hoping I just bruised a ligament, like I did with my wrist in the car accident. I still have pretty good range of motion. It just really really hurts when I try to push myself up or lean on my arm. I almost screamed this morning when I woke up, forgot, and tried to use my arm to get out of bed. If it doesn't start feeling better within the next few days I'll have to break down and go see the doctor. In the mean time, I'll just play physical therapist on myself and do range of motion exercises. Till next time! Have a nice trip! See you next Fall! |
